One of our favorite movies in the world is The Greatest Showman! My whole family enjoys it and the music is on repeat in our house several times a week. We love musicals but there is something so magical about this story! When Placard Originals contacted me and asked me if I would do a Greatest Showman Photo Session featuring her beautiful costumes, I had to say YES!
I was so excited about the session because we already had the most perfect backdrop for it from Baby Dream Backdrops. When I first hung up this backdrop, my 6 year old walked into the studio and shouted “MOMMY, YOU BOUGHT ME THE GREATEST SHOWMAN BACKDROP! IT’s mine all mine!” She was so excited and I decided the parenting win was to say “Yes, I did!” Ha! We also had a handmade, gorgeous, little red felt bow from Olliegoose that was perfect for her costume.
This gorgeous costume from Placard Original was perfect against this backdrop. A few of my favorite things about it…
- Tatyana is growing out of a size 6 so she sent a size 7/8. It was a wonderful fit with room to grow.
- The back of it has these ties so that you can make the straps a little longer or tighter and it helps cinch the bodice in tighter or looser. This means we will be able to use it for various sizes!
- The fabric is really beautiful quality. It’s soft to the touch and not cheap feeling at all. My girl hates cheap material and she kept twirling in it and saying “It’s so soft, Mommy!”
- The cape is also beautifully made and I’m sure we can use it for other characters, too!
- The costume is handmade here in the US!
- My little girl kept saying “I feel so pretty in it, Mommy!” That is a huge win in my books!
